Pb NAAQS Performance Evaluation Program
Missouri DNR Pb-TSP Analysis Audit
The Environmental Protection Agency sets permissible levels for six common air pollutants: ozone, lead, particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide. EPA bases these levels, or standards, on the concentrations at which pollutants become health and environmental hazards. These standards are known as the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). Currently Teklab only runs analysis for Lead and PM-10 under this program, we do not monitor all 6 pollutants
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources maintains approximately 50 air monitors across the state to track concentrations of these six common air pollutants as well as many other pollutants. Under the auspices of the Pb NAAQS Performance Evaluation Program, Teklab takes part in MDNR's quarterly Lead-TSP analysis audit, which requires the analysis of 6 Pb audit strips per quarter.
See the EPA's Lead Performance Evaluation Program page, for more information.
